Ben Roethlisberger is Not Worried about his Critics in the Media says his Arm Feels Great

Ben Roethlisberger has to be one of the most criticized quarterbacks in the NFL going into the 2021 season. In fact, he has been criticized most of his career, but that is not going to stop him from heading into his 18th season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ben walked into the Steelers training camp recently with a shirt on that says 'different.' He does look a bit slimmer, but his changes from the offseason do not look drastic. Regardless if Ben Roethlisberger feels healthy heading into camp that is all that matters at this point.

Much of the media said Ben is 'washed up' or is looking 'out of shape' throughout the offseason this season. Ben has definitely been criticized more than any NFL quarterback. He took on those criticisms yesterday with the media saying, "Are things being said about me Nationally? What's new."

Although Ben is joking about the criticisms he is very well aware of what is being said about him this offseason and I believe it is absolutely unfair, but what are you going to do? The media are going to say what gives them an audience even if it is outlandish...

Ben Roethlisberger is not worried about the media right now. He wants to win another Super Bowl before he rides off into the sunset and told the media his arm is feeling great yesterday. That is news many of Yinz around the world would welcome. He said, “My arm feels a lot fresher if you will. Just because at this time last year I had thrown thousands of footballs trying to get ready for this. Today is the first day I’ve thrown a ball since mini-camp other than throw to my son in the backyard. It feels more normal of an offseason. My arm feels really, really good.”

Roethlisberger believes Matt Canada has done a great job with transitioning the offense this offseason. He sees some things are changing on the offensive side of the ball, but Coach Canada has made the transition for the players very easy. He said, "Sure there are some new things, new words, but it's not a clean slate."
