Ben Roethlisberger could be walking into his final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021. I can't imagine what it will be like without Roethlisberger not being the Steelers quarterback in the future, but father time is always undefeated. The Steelers have been at Voluntary OTAs for a while now and many veterans decided to show up including Ben Roethlisberger.
Najee Harris will be walking into Pittsburgh and become Ben Roethlisberger's new best friend in the backfield. That is why Ben Roethlisberger decided to come into camp very early in order to build rapport with him right away. Ben is very smart to come in early because by the time the 2021 Steelers take the field Harris and Roethlisberger should have a great connection.
What Ben Roethlisberger has been able to see during OTAs in regards to some of the rookies has really impressed him. He feels many of the guys are picking up the game of football at the professional level quite well and just to be able to have the repetition with those guys is making him very excited about the group that the Steelers have brought in.
Ben Roethlisberger on OTA's: “We are in shorts and T-shirts and we still are waiting to see what some of the guys can do, but what I’ve seen so far has been really impressive,” Roethlisberger said. “Knowledge of the game of football, picking up the offense already. … These guys came in at the rookie minicamp and haven’t left. To be able to have the repetition with those guys, to communicate with them, to talk to them, whether it is at a locker or on the field, I’m really excited about the group that we have in here.”
