Like the rest of Steelers Nation, Ben Roethlisberger was on the edge of his seat watching the Raiders-Chargers game in overtime on Sunday night. To make the playoffs, the Steelers needed the Raiders and Chargers to not tie, and they nearly did, if it wasn't for Daniel Carlson nailing a 47-yard field goal with two seconds remaining in overtime to send the Raiders and the Steelers to the playoffs.
Roethlisberger found out that the Steelers made the playoffs on a FaceTime call with TobyMac and Bart Millard of MercyMe, as Mac's TV was 15-30 seconds ahead of Roethlisberger's. There's no audio in the video, but Roethlisberger's reaction is amazing. Had Carlson missed the kick, Roethlisberger's career would have been over. Instead, he gets at least one more game against the Chiefs in the wild-card round on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Roethlisberger was also wearing a Raiders helmet during the Chargers-Raiders game on Sunday night. Roethlisberger told the media on Wednesday that the signed Raiders helmet is from by Sebastian Janikowski and Shane Lechler. You can watch the clip below from Millard. It's a cool behind-the-scenes moment of Roethlisberger.
