With a 34-31 win over the Chiefs on Sunday, the Bengals clinched the AFC North. The Steelers' easiest path to the playoffs would have been to win the division, but since that's out of the equation now, the Steelers' playoff chances to make it as a wildcard are holding onto a thread.
To make the playoffs, the Steelers need to beat the Browns and the Ravens in Baltimore, along with the Colts losing to the (2-14) Jaguars in Week 18, which is extremely unlikely. The Steelers are eliminated if they lose to the Browns on Monday night.
The Colts beat the Jaguars, 23-17, in Indianapolis on Nov. 14. Jacksonville has lost eight in a row and they lost the Patriots, 50-10, on Sunday.
If the Steelers were to win their next two games and the Jaguars somehow beat the Colts, they would have to also hope for the Raiders and Chargers to not tie on Sunday night, as the Steelers would lose out the tiebreaker at 9-7-1 since they lost to both the Raiders and Chargers.
