The Pro Football Hall of Fame gave out the Gold Jackets to the newest members of football immorality, which included three Steelers members -- Bill Cowher, Alan Faneca and Donnie Shell. Troy Polamalu wasn't at the event, as he just recently got cleared to travel to Canton after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. According to Hall of Fame selector Howard Balzer, Polamalu will arrive to Canton tonight and will attend his Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony tomorrow.
Cowher's presenter, Steelers President Art Rooney II, put the Gold Jacket on Cowher.
Faneca had his son, Burton, place the Gold Jacket on him.
Shell received his Gold Jacket from his daughter, April.
Five members of the Steelers will be honored this weekend in Canton. Cowher, Shell and Polamalu will be enshrined on Saturday as members of the Centennial Class of 2020. And then on Sunday, Faneca will be enshrined as a member of the Class of 2021. Steelers "super scout" Bill Nunn was enshrined posthumously in April as a member of the Class of 2021, but there will be a video tribute for him during Sunday's ceremony.
