The Steelers start their 2021 campaign with a daunting task of playing the Bills on the road in Week 1. The Bills made the AFC Championship Game last year and are led by quarterback Josh Allen, who is a potential league MVP candidate this season.
According to Oddsshark.com, the Bills are currently 6.5-point favorites against the Steelers and the over/under is 48 points. The Steelers are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games and the total has gone under in 14 of Pittsburgh's last 20 games on the road.
The Steelers are also 0-5 against the spread in their last five games against an opponent in the American Football Conference East division. The Steelers are 16-11 all-time against the Bills, however, Buffalo has won the last two meetings in 2019 and 2020. In those two games, the Bills allowed a combined 25 points.
The Bills have won seven straight games at home and the total has hit the over in 13 of Buffalo's last 19 games, according to FanDuel.
Since Mike Tomlin was hired as head coach in 2007, the Steelers are 8-5-1 in Week 1 games and are 4-4-1 on the road.
