CBS Ross Tucker compares Mason Rudolph to Kyle Trask

The quarterback position in Pittsburgh will be the most talked-about all season in 2021. Especially if something happens to Ben Roethlisberger down the road. Let's cross our fingers Ben Roethlisberger stays healthy for all of the 2021 season. It could be his final season so why not go out giving it his all! Many quarterbacks have been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Kyle Trask has come up quite a bit lately.

Ross Tucker recently sat down with 93.7 the fan and said two highly touted scouts have drawn comparisons with Mason Rudolph and Kyle Trask. Tucker said both scouts told him Trask is Mason Rudolph. It would make sense to compare the two. Both are pocket passers who have a big cannon. Trask had himself a season in 2020 throwing for 4,238 passing yards, 43 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.

Trask was doing quite well until he played in the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma. He ended up throwing for 3 interceptions and was eventually pulled from the game. That performance could have hurt his value heading into the 2021 NFL draft. Mason Rudolph was drafted in the 3rd round by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kyle Trask could see himself fall all the way down to the 3rd round in the 2021 NFL draft as well.
