The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially started making moves prior to free agency opening up on March 17th. They have re-signed Ben Roethlisberger to a new one-year $14 million dollar deal today. Now they have signed Center J.C. Hassenauer to an exclusive rights free-agent deal. It is a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This makes sense because the Steelers need a few center's to help fill a big hole left by Maurkice Pouncey retiring in the offseason.
Expect the Steelers to look at adding a Veteran Center through free agency or through the 2021 NFL draft. It would make sense to get a running back, and a few offensive linemen in the 2021 NFL draft while adding a Veteran Center before the draft begins. That will help the Steelers take one position of need away before heading into the draft.
Here is J.C. Hassenauer signing his one-year contract with the Steelers today.
