Chase Claypool continues to publicly speak out on the Browns after the Steelers 48-37 loss to Cleveland on Sunday night in the wild-card game. On TikTok live on Monday, Claypool took a shot at the Browns by saying they'll get blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional-round game on Sunday. “You know, bad loss, but the Browns are going to get clapped next week so it’s all good,” Claypool said.
In a recent interview with DAZN Canada, Claypool said the Browns were classless.
"If the Browns had won with more class, then I wouldn’t have been so salty about it, but them mocking JuJu (Smith-Schuster) during the game and after the game just didn’t sit right with me,” Claypool said. “They were just super classless, you know against JuJu, towards JuJu what they were saying on the field towards the end of the game, so I’m not going to have respect for a team that doesn’t have respect for us.’’
In response to Claypool saying the Browns will get "clapped" on Sunday by Kansas City, Browns' linebacker Sione Takitaki said Claypool was just salty about losing.
"It’s really just funny. He’s salty with the loss," Takitaki said about Claypool. "You can hear it in his voice. We don’t really dwell, put too much time about it. Obviously, we got the win, so we got the last laugh ... leave it at that.”
DAZN Canada asked Claypool about Takitaki's comments and Browns' defensive end Adrian Clayborn saying "just go on vacation already young fella" in regards to Claypool.
“They can enjoy the win and another week of football but they’ll be on the couch right next to me, so it’s all good,” Claypool said.
For what it's worth, Claypool on Twitter said the interview with DAZN Canada was an old interview and he talked with some friends on the Browns and it's all love. Claypool said he wishes nothing but the best for the Browns in the playoffs.
