Steelers' second-year wide receiver Chase Claypool will be holding a youth football ProCamp this summer. The event will be held on July 21 at Cornell School in Coraopolis and it's open to boys and girls in first through eighth grade.
"Throughout the one-day camp, Chase Claypool and our coaches will offer tips and hands-on instruction, including lectures, fundamental football skills stations, contests, and non-contact games in a high-energy, fun, and positive environment with cleanliness and sanitation measures in place," ProCamps wrote on its website. "Campers will be placed in small groups by age to ensure that each child gets maximum instruction featuring a 10:1 maximum camper to coach ratio. The camp will be staffed by some of the area's top high school and college coaches."
It's good to see that Claypool will be holding a camp for kids, especially after a year of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and kids not being at school in-person and learning virtually instead. A lot of youth football leagues were canceled last fall too because of the pandemic. So, it's uplifting to see things get back to normal and Claypool doing his part to help kids out by running a football camp.
