Colin Cowherd has the Steelers finishing the 2021 season at 8-9. Says eight wins is being 'gracious'

Colin Cowherd is making his predictions for the 2021 NFL season and he once again has the Steelers finishing with a losing record for the second consecutive year. In 2020, he had the Steelers finishing 7-9, and they started the season 11-0, but of course, collapsed down the stretch, concluding the season at 12-4.

This year, Cowherd has the Steelers finishing the season at 8-9, which would be the Steelers' first losing season since 2003.

"I have the Pittsburgh Steelers as a sub .500 team in third place (in the AFC North)," Cowherd said. "And eight wins, I think considering the state of their O-line is being gracious. That's an 8-9 football team."

Ben Roethlisberger's physical shape has been a hot topic recently with Ryan Burr reporting that a source says Roethlisberger is taking a Tom Brady approach to his diet, and it's reportedly even stricter than Brady's.

“Ben will never mention the beating he has taken in the media but says from a dedication standpoint has never seen anything from Ben close to this in past," Burr tweeted. "Source says (he's) obsessed with diet & workouts. “

Like many national media members, Cowherd thinks Roethlisberger is done and he's not buying the report that Roethlisberger is in phenomenal shape.

“Ben is committed when the whistle blows in camp to when it ends in January earlier than everybody in Pittsburgh wants, he’s limping to the finish line,” Cowherd said.

“So congratulations on only two Natty Lights after dinner and sit-ups.”
