In the events that Najee Harris is gone for the Steelers, it could be in the Steelers' best interest to draft a guy like Javonte. A player who is three years younger than Najee, he could potentially have some upside if Najee were to be gone by pick 24.
Javonte rushed for over 1,140 yards on 157 attempts. If you do the math, that is above 7 yards per carry. He also had 19 touchdowns on top of that. He truly is one of the better prospects in this draft at the running back position. Najee is an anomaly. However, this guy could fit well with what the Steelers want going forward in the running game.
The North Carolina Pro-Day is Monday, so it will be interesting to see if he increases his Draft Stock or if his value decreases after his performance. Javonte also caught 25 balls for 305 yards. So, perhaps that's an area of improvement. However, we see that he is able to increase his production heading into the 2021 NFL draft.
The Steelers need another running back. Whether it's Najee, Javonte or someone else. I trust the Steelers to make the right decision here. It's pretty much Ben's last year, we can't afford to mess this up. Ben needs some help.
