Ike Taylor on Ben Roethlisberger: "You're setting the team back two or three years with a comeback"

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 season came to an end against the Browns in the 2020 Wild-Card Playoffs. A team who started the season 11-0 would eventually end the season 1-6. It left Ben Roethlisberger crying on a bench and apologizing to his teammates. It was a sight Steeler fans never want to see again. The biggest topic after the Wild-Card game was Ben Roethlisberger. Will he retire? Will he return for another season with the Steelers? We should find out this week as the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger will sit down to try and restructure his current contract giving the organization more cap room going into the future.

Ike Taylor recently sat with TMZ to give his opinion toward Ben Roethlisberger. He says Ben Roethlisberger will be setting the Steelers organization back one, two, or even three years with a comeback. The reason why Taylor thinks Ben will set the Steelers back is because the other AFC North teams have younger quarterbacks. He says he wishes Ben Roethlisberger will ride off into the sunset so Pittsburgh can find a quarterback who can keep up with the younger quarterbacks in the AFC North.

Ike says don't get it twisted though because Ben has had a career second to none and will be a Hall of Famer in the NFL. If Ben does decide to cut his pay down in 2021 Taylor says the Steelers will have no choice but to bring Ben back. Ike also recommends Ben go on the Tom Brady diet heading into 2021 so he can have success as a pocket passer. We should find out what the Steelers and Ben will do this coming week because they're scheduled to sit down together and discuss their future.
