Is Najee Harris the Future?

One thing has been abundantly clear, ever since we lost Le’Veon Bell, the Steelers running game has regressed every season. Most of that could be attributed to the line but I personally think it’s a combination of lackluster RB play.

I love James Conner. He’s one of my favorite Steelers. His story is outstanding, what he’s accomplished is unreal. However, one of the biggest criticisms of him is he can’t stay healthy. Which, we have seen even this year.

James Conner on the year, has 684 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. Which is more than 2019. However, still the Steelers are missing having that rusher that can go over 1,000 yards. It seems like Najee Harris could be there for the Steelers at the end of the first round.

Najee Harris in the past two seasons has had over 1250 yards and in the past two seasons combined he has had 37 touchdowns. That’s a lot of touchdowns. The Steelers could really use a player like him.

However, one of the biggest conversation points right now between Yinzers is, “Why draft a running back when your offensive line is playing like garbage? Shouldn’t we draft an offensive lineman?” Well, yes. However, the offensive line piece of the puzzle will come later. See a player like Kevin Dotson who has played exceptionally well for a 4th rounder

We are hoping Najee Harris hurdles over the competition and lands right with us hopefully at the last pick of the draft. However, if not I hope the Steelers find someone that is very similar to him that can help this team win now.
