JuJu Smith-Schuster: "I would love to stay a Pittsburgh Steeler"

Who would have thought the Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 season would have ended the way it did last night against the Browns? A team that went 11-0 and ended their season 1-5. Last night may be a disappointment, but this offseason is going to be even more disappointing. Twenty-seven free agents will be up for renewal in 2021. The hard truth is most will not be brought back. One name that will become a free agent is JuJu Smith-Schuster.

JuJu Smith-Schuster on Free Agency after the game against the Browns: "I would love to stay in Pittsburgh, I built a strong foundation with the fan base. I don't want to have to go to a different organization. I would love to be a Steeler again."

Smith-Schuster says the Steelers made him who he is. He continued to say he loves working with WR coach Ike Hilliard. The bottom line is the Steelers will have to make tough decisions in 2021. JuJu is a very talented wide receiver, but he does not deserve WR1 money. He will need to take a friendly contract in order to stay with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ben Roethlisberger said he would love to see him not go anywhere after the game as well. If JuJu is looking for money he will be gone from Pittsburgh next year and may end up like Le'Veon Bell with the New York Jets. It is truly up to JuJu if he really wants to stay with the Steelers. We would love to see him stay, but it would need to be a hometown discount. It is unclear if he is willing to take the hometown discount and it is unclear if the Steelers want to bring him back. Only time will tell what happens to JuJu Smith-Schuster.
