New broke around the NFL when JuJu Smith-Schuster decided to re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday. Although he had the third-lowest offer on the table by the Steelers he still wanted to stay with the organization. It looks like his mom Sammy played a big part in his decision to stay with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unlike Le'Veon Bell when his mom told him to stay with the organization. Mom's know what is best for their kids and JuJu felt he should listen to her.
Sammy on Instagram: "We're here for another year and hopefully can retire a Pittsburgh Steeler, because that's the plan."
The Steelers have an opportunity to keep JuJu Smith-Schuster on a longer-term deal heading into 2022. JuJu would like at least a 4 year deal with the Steelers organization. There should be no reason why both sides can get a deal done in 2022. The Steelers cap issues should be far behind them once they go into the 2022 season. Hopefully, JuJu Smith-Schuster and his family can get his wish to retire as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
