The unfortunate news broke on December 21, 2020, that Kevin Greene has passed away. He holds the third most sacks ever in the NFL with 160 total sacks. He is the Sack Master. Whenever Kevin Greene gave his opinion about something you would listen because he was such an iconic football player. Greene played in over 15 seasons and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
In one of Kevin Greene's last interviews before his passing, he said TJ Watt looks to be the most complete linebacker in the NFL right now whether he plays inside or outside on the Great Dane Nation Podcast. Greene says TJ rushes, plays the inside hard, drops in coverage, and hunts people with a hunter's heart. He continued to say he really likes how he is playing and he even says he is playing better over Khalil Mack, Von Miller, or any of those guys. Kevin says he really likes TJ Watt and he acknowledges he might be a Steeler, but he loves the way he operates.
That is a tremendous compliment from the Sack Master himself. TJ Watt should embrace that endorsement because it's not every day you get that kind of compliment from a Hall of Famer like Kevin Greene. TJ Watt should win the Defensive Player of the Year Award this season and when he does Kevin Greene will be looking down smiling. This is only the beginning for TJ Watt. His career is just starting to take off.
