In a recent video, Marshawn Lynch praised Najee and he said this, "That's my son. My big son. My tall son." That is very encouraging for Steelers fans to hear that. Marshawn Lynch is an NFL Legend and it's cool to hear him speak so highly about our new running back.
Marshawn also said that he would love Najee Harris to win 'Rookie of the Year' I mean, this could happen. However, the Rookie of the Year award is regularly given to quarterbacks. However, running backs such as Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara, and Todd Gurley have popped up over the recent years.
It wouldn't be too far-fetched for this to happen. However, I mainly just want Najee to put up big numbers and to stay healthy down the stretch for the Steelers. That's what went wrong with Le'Veon Bell, the Steelers ran him into the ground. Come playoff time, Bell was injured or he just couldn't get anything going.
The last time the Steelers had an Offensive Rookie of the Year award winner, it was actually Ben Roethlisberger way back in 2004. It would be nice to have another Steeler win the award. It's been a long time!
However, the Steelers aren't going for awards, they are going for the Lombardi and that's the most important thing on everyone's mind as Ben Roethlisberger's career comes to a close. Drafting Najee Harris certainly helps the Steelers' chances on this final run. Here We Go!
