Last Wednesday, it was announced that the Steelers coaching staff and scouts were sent home from the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex due several positive COVID-19 tests. Today, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network revealed that Mike Tomlin was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is away from the team facility. Specifics were not released in regards to Tomlin, but a spokesman did say that members of the coaching and personnel staffs were sent home last week after a couple of positives came up. We wish Tomlin and the other members of the Steelers who tested positive all the best in their recovery from COVID-19.
On Twitter later in the afternoon, Tomlin released a statement on his condition and thanked everyone for their concern and privacy.
