The consensus first-round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers is RB Najee Harris going into the 2021 NFL draft. Many NFL draft analysts feel Harris would fit like a glove with the Pittsburgh Steelers running game. Some feel it would be a reach for the Steelers to take Harris in the first round, but I don't think Harris will make it to the second round by the time the Steelers pick unless Colbert pulls some trickery and gets an early second-round draft pick. I do feel Harris will be gone in the first round regardless if the Steelers take him or not.
There is no doubt the Steelers have some big needs going into the 2021 draft especially on the offensive side of the ball, but even Kevin Colbert said the offensive line position is 'unusually deep,' going into the draft. With that being said Pro Football Network says it would be a mistake for the Steelers to take Najee Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.
Pro Football Network loves Najee Harris and they say the gap between Najee Harris and Travis Etienne is almost an entire round grade for them. However, the Steelers lost Maurkice Pouncey and have Creed Humphrey staring them in the face with the 24th pick. Pro Football Network does say the Steelers will be lucky though if they pass on a center in the first round as the center position is deep.
