Ben Roethlisberger was supposed to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, but for some reason that never happened. It could have been because of the news about Maurkice Pouncey. Ramon Foster broke the news that Maurkice Pouncey was going to retire. Then Pouncey took to social media to say goodbye to fans and his teammates. Foster is still close with some of the Steelers players. So he would know what is going on in regards to Ben Roethlisberger. That doesn't seem to be the case at this point. For the first time in 18 years, the Steelers quarterback situation seems to be uncertain.
Foster went on 93.7 the fan yesterday and said "with Maurkice bowing out right now, I'm not sure it's going to happen with 7." Which means Foster doesn't know if Ben Roethlisberger is going to return back to the Steelers. Although Ben says he would like to return for one more season with the Steelers there have been a significant amount of changes that could make Ben change his mind in regards to returning.
Ramon was asked if Ben would go to another team, but that doesn't look like it would be the case. Ben says he would retire before he would play with another team.
Foster on Ben going to another team to play football: "Going to another team? I just don't know. I highly doubt he'd go to another team unless he just surprised me."
The interview ended with Foster saying if Ben thinks he has enough left in the tank, and he does think that he knows for a fact Ben will come back and give it his all to the Steelers. Ramon just doesn't know what Ben is thinking or what he plans on doing at this point. A conversation is still going to happen between Art Rooney II, Kevin Colbert, and Coach Tomlin in order to find out where Ben Roethlisberger's future will lead to.
