Steelers-Browns injury report

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

The Steelers had their first practice of the week today at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side in preparation for their wild-card round game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday night.

Strong safety Terrell Edmunds (shoulder) was a full participant after missing Sunday's game against Cleveland and kicker Chris Boswell (groin) was limited. Boswell has been out for the last two games. Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday during his weekly press conference that Boswell's participation at practice would decide if he's able to go on Sunday night.

Nose tackle Tyson Alualu (ankle) and inside linebacker Vince Williams (quad) did not practice on Wednesday, while cornerback Steven Nelson was limited.

Inside linebacker Robert Spillane and left guard Matt Feiler returned to practice today but both are still on the reserve/injured list. The Steelers have a 21-day time period to activate Feiler and Spillane to the 53-man roster.

Spillane suffered a knee injury against the Washington Football Team in Week 13 and was placed on the reserved/injured list on Dec. 12. Feiler suffered a pectoral injury against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 and was placed on the reserve/injured list on Dec. 14.

Ben Roethlisberger had all of last week off to rest up for the playoffs, so he did not have his normal Wednesday veteran's day off today.
