It was announced on Wednesday that Steelers inside linebacker Devin Bush was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, along with offensive tackle Zach Banner and inside linebacker Marcus Allen.
COVID-19 cases continue to rise rapidly across the country and it's been hitting the NFL hard, as well. Three games got moved last week due to outbreaks with the Browns, Rams and Washington.
If Bush, Banner and Allen are vaccinated and tested positive, they'll be eligible to return to the active roster as soon as they clear the league’s updated protocols.
The Chiefs have been going through a mini outbreak also, as they have several players on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, tight end Travis Kelce, and kicker Harrison Butker are three big names for the Chiefs who are on the list. Since he's unvaccinated, Butker has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Elliott Fry will be the kicker for the Chiefs.
According to Adam Teicher, who covers the Chiefs for ESPN, Andy Reid said he's unaware of any league discussions to postpone Sunday's game. Reid also said, "We just go next man up and roll" in regards to if Kelce and Hill can't play on Sunday.
