In addition to officially signing veteran outside linebacker Melvin Ingram today, the Steelers also announced that they signed offensive tackle Chaz Green, who played in 15 games in 2020 for Indianapolis, starting one, which just so happened to be against the Steelers. Green spent just one season with the Colts.
Green, 29, was drafted by the Cowboys in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He missed the majority of his rookie season due to a hip injury, and then in a combined 18 games in 2016 and 2017, he started six.
Green has also spent time with the Saints, Broncos and Raiders in his career. In total, he has played in 37 games and started in eight.
Along with Joe Haeg and rookie Dan Moore Jr., Green will add depth at offensive tackle behind starters Chuks Okorafor and Zach Banner.
To make room for both Green and Ingram, the Steelers released offensive tackle Jarron Jones and linebacker Calvin Bundage.
