Steelers Week 11 Fantasy Outlook

What’s going on Steelers fans? Coming off of a dominant performance against the Bengals last week it’s on to the Jaguars this week. Before we get into this week’s fantasy outlook, let’s take a look back at last week. For Big Ben, another amazing performance posting 30.6 fantasy points surpassing his projection of 20.5! James Conner struggled mightily and only put up 6.8 fantasy points falling short of his projection of 18 fantasy points. The Wide Receivers played amazing this past week for fantasy football. With Diontae posting 22.6 beating his projection of 13.8, Claypool beat his total of 12.7 projected by 8.1 points with 20.8 points, and JuJu also had a great game with 19.7 points beating his projection by 9.1!

What a week it was for our Steelers, now let’s dive into our Week 11 analysis.

Quarterback Predictions:

Big Ben has had two monster games in a row and has really carried the Steelers' offense as of late. I don’t think it's unreasonable to expect another good game here against the Jags who are ranked 30th in the NFL against fantasy QBs. With that being said, I think Ben scores a total of 29.8 fantasy points this week with another big game throwing the ball!

Wide Receiver Predictions:

Chase Claypool, JuJu, and Diontae have slowly transformed into a three-headed monster of a wide receiver core. The Jags secondary ranks 22nd against fantasy WRs and that is worse than last week against the Bengals who were ranked 13th. With all that being said I think we see another big game for the Steelers receiving options. Starting with Chase, I think Ben and Claypool finally start to click on the deep ball this game, and Chase will have around 70 yards receiving and a TD. I predict Claypool to score 17.2 fantasy points this week. For Diontae Johnson I expect another week of being peppered with targets from Big Ben and another 100-yard receiving game. I’ll predict another good one for Diontae for a projection of 15.9 points. Last but certainly not least JuJu has been a safety blanket for Big Ben this year. Always coming up big on third down, and I think JuJu finds the endzone this week against the Jaguars. I predict around 50 receiving yards and a touchdown making my prediction for JuJu at 16.2 points!

Running Back Predictions:

James Conner struggled mightily last week against the Bengals which on paper should have been a smash game for him and the Steelers running back crew. Mike Tomlin promised reporters this week that they will fix the running game this week against Jacksonville. Let’s hold Tomlin to his word and predict a solid game for Conner. I’m not predicting a great game because I do think the strength of this Steelers team has been passing the ball, however, I’ll give Conner 73 yards rushing and a touchdown. Which puts my projections at 14.5 points this week.

As far as the other RBs, it’s still the same as last week, there just isn’t enough clarity as to who would get more carries so don’t start anyone not named James Conner this week.

Tight End Predictions:

Ebron was pretty quiet last week against the Bengals which was surprising given how bad they have been against TEs this season. I feel like Ebron is due for another solid game this week against the Jags. They rank 26th in the league against fantasy TEs so the opportunity for a big game is present. For Ebron, I predict around 65 receiving yards and a 50/50 shot at a touchdown. With all that being said I predict 10.7 fantasy points this week for Mr.Ebron.

Wrap Up:

In conclusion, I believe that in most spots the Steelers’ skill positions are in a good position for some big fantasy potential this weekend! Let’s hope that our men of steel can pull through and make it 10-0 this Sunday. Thanks for reading Yinz, and good luck in all of your fantasy matchups this week!
