The pro day circuit is about over and unless Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert appear at any more within the next week, the duo will have gone to nine pro days. Tomlin and Colbert were present at the Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame pro day.
All of the schools listed are big-time programs, so there's an influx of prospects at one location that Tomlin and Colbert can evaluate. The Steelers brass can't be at every major college pro day, but they chose wisely and it's usually at the schools that have the most talent.
History would suggest that the Steelers' first-round pick in this year's draft will be from a Power Five conference and both Tomlin and Colbert were at the pro day.
The Steelers have a slew of needs in this year's draft, so they can go in several different directions, but running back, offensive tackle, center are their biggest needs, followed by inside linebacker, cornerback and outside linebacker.
