The Pittsburgh Steelers have extended Head Coach Mike Tomlin through 2024.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced they will be extending Head Coach Mike Tomlin's contract through 2024. This is great news for many of the Mike Tomlin lovers, but bad news for the Tomlin haters. It seems Yinz is split on Coach Mike Tomlin, but I must say who would be better to run the Pittsburgh Steelers at this point than Mike Tomlin? No one.

Tomlin does need to clean up his issues in the NFL playoffs, but he hasn't had a losing regular season in his 14 years with the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. If only he could get over the playoff hump that has been plaguing him over the years.

Mike Tomlin on his contract extension with the Steelers: "I am extremely grateful for this contract extension and want to thank Art Rooney II and everyone in the organization for the support in my first 14 seasons," said Tomlin. "We have a goal of winning the organization's seventh Super Bowl championship, and I couldn't be more enthusiastic about this upcoming season."

Tomlin is right the goal is to win a Super Bowl Championship with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After all, that is why Art Rooney Sr. created the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. Tomlin is now the third longest-tenured coach in the NFL. In 2020 he tied Marty Schottenheimer as being the only two head coaches to have 14 consecutive non-losing seasons to begin their NFL careers. Mike Tomlin is excited for the opportunity presented to him in 2021 and will look to continue his winning streak in the regular season. It's time to start winning some playoff games though. Glad the Pittsburgh Steelers have extended Coach Tomlin through the 2024 season. It's time to bring home number 7 to the City of Pittsburgh!
