The Steelers 2021 free agency looks to still be ongoing. There are still many valuable players sitting on the open market right now. In a normal season most of these players would not be sitting on the open market, but this season it would be wise to take a one-year deal and go into the open market next season when the cap goes up otherwise they could be sitting on the open market for quite a while.
Safety Karl Joseph is meeting with the Steelers in Pittsburgh according to Aaron Wilson. There is no word yet if the meeting has concluded or if the Steelers will be signing him. Joseph signed a one-year deal with the Browns during the 2020 offseason and ended up playing 14 games with the Browns (8 of those games he started). He finished the 2020 season with 67 tackles, two tackles for losses, four passes defended, and one interception.
If the Steelers do decide to bring him in it will give the Steelers much-needed depth behind Terrell Edmunds and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Stay tuned. News on Joseph is still ongoing, but the Steelers are meeting with him.
