Vince Williams is officially back with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021. The team has announced they have signed him to a one-year contract for the 2021 season. It looks like Vinny could be taking a last ride with Ben Roethlisberger in 2021 as well. He recently indicated to ESPN that he will think about retirement after the 2021 season and would like to get into Coaching. If this is it with Vince Williams it has been a fun ride to watch him in Pittsburgh.
It looks like Vince Williams would like to retire as a Pittsburgh Steeler. He had many other offers on the table from other NFL teams and he decided to stay with the Steelers. In 2020 Williams had 70 tackles with 47 of them being solo tackles, 3 sacks, and 14 tackles for losses. So Vince can still play football at the NFL level quite well. Vince has played in 121 NFL games in which he started in 69 of them during his 8 year NFL career.
Vince has 444 career tackles, 48 tackles for losses, 20.5 sacks, 43 quarterback hits, 5 passes defended, 5 fumble recoveries, and 2 interceptions for his career. Williams has only played with the Pittsburgh Steelers during his time in the NFL and now it looks like he would like to close this chapter of his life with the team who drafted him in the Sixth-Round of the 2013 NFL draft.
