The Steelers are coming off a 36-28 loss to the Vikings on Thursday night. And while the final score indicated a close game, it was still an embarrassing performance. The Steelers trailed 29-0 at one point in the third quarter, and if it wasn't for Ben Roethlisberger's late-game heroics or Ahkello Witherspoon's two interceptions, the Steelers would have easily lost by at least 20 points.
However, with the massive parity in the AFC, the Steelers' playoff hopes are still alive at 6-6-1. To make the postseason, the Steelers would likely need to win three of their four remaining games. And with how this team has been playing lately, that's a tall task. The Steelers will try to get on the right track this Sunday against the AFC South-leading Titans (9-4) at Heinz Field. And luckily for the Steelers, Derrick Henry will be out for the Titans. Just imagine the kind of damage Henry would have done to this Steelers run defense.
According to Oddsshark, the Titans are 1.5-point road favorites against the Steelers, and the over/under is 41.5 points. The Titans are 2-6 straight up in their last eight games against the Steelers, and the total has gone over in seven of Tennessee's last eight games on the road.
The Titans 1-4 straight up in their last five games when playing on the road against the Steelers.
The Steelers are 47-32 all-time against the Titans/Oilers. The Steelers have won the past three meetings against Tennessee.
