TJ Watt has the 3rd Best Betting Odds to Win Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2021

One of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL has been snubbed over the past few seasons in regards to the defensive player of the year award. In 2019 cornerback Stephon Gilmore was named the defensive player of the year and in 2020 Aaron Donald received the defensive player of the year award.

TJ Watt could have sworn his name was going to be called after the 2020 season, but once again the AP snubbed him. I believe it will take a big performance (20 sack season) for TJ Watt to come close to the award. The reason is the Associated Press is so biased against TJ Watt and no one understands why...

BETOnline.ag has just released their latest early odds at who they think will win the 2021 defensive player of the year award. Once again the betting market feels TJ Watt will be snubbed in 2021 as they give him the 3rd best odds to win the award in 2021. Watt has 9-to-1 odds to win the award while Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett have better odds.

Watt will be entering his fifth season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he is looking to make it a huge one because he will be entering a contract season. Many analysts believe the Pittsburgh Steelers will break the bank for Watt in 2022 and he could be looking to get at least a $100 million dollar contract which is rare for the Steelers organization.

If they do end up giving him a mega-contract in 2022 he should become the highest-paid linebacker in Pittsburgh Steelers history. There are no options other than locking up TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick because both superstars are the future of the Pittsburgh Steelers who deserve to break the bank for. No questions asked.
